CURRENTLY... laying on the floor of my daughter's bedroom...

Yep, you read that right. Every. Single. Night for 20-30 minutes (sometimes more), I sit/lay in the corner of my daughter's room so that she stops screaming her head off. I then have to sneak out crawling or slithering on my belly so that the floor doesn't creak and she wakes up. The nice thing is that I can at least be on my phone/laptop, and the light doesn't bother her. Maybe some day I'll be able to put her in her crib/bed and she'll lay down and go to sleep.

ANYWAY, here' my Currently, thanks to the amazing Farley:
I took a personal day and went on my son's preschool field trip to the petting farm. It was SO much fun! My district gives us 4 (yes, FOUR!) personal days, and it is GLORIOUS! I used 3 of them in December to go to Disney World, and I used the last one today. We had so much fun!
Am I the only teacher in freak-out mode right now because there are only 24 days left of school this year?! I still have SO much I have to do with the kiddos. I could really use an extra few weeks... not sure if my sanity agrees with that statement or not :) I say this every year, but I know it will all get done. It always does!

MAP testing... UGH! Anyone else out there in my boat? I had my Math test last week, then this week I have off, next Tuesday is my Reading test, and then on 5/14 is my Language Arts test. My kids did really well on the Math test, so hopefully that trend continues in the next 2 weeks. I just want it all to be OVER!

I haven't had a pedicure in AGES! I usually don't in the winter, but now that it's spring and starting to be flip flop season, I need to do something about my feet situation ASAP!

Summer Bucket List: I can't sit still in the summer! We are always doing something! Our two favorite places to go are the zoo and the pool, although both are about an hour from our house. I'm kind of snobby when it comes to the pool because even though there is one in our town, I'll drive an hour to take my babies to the really nice one that has a toddler wading pool and giant sand area. This summer we are hoping to house hunt as well. Our life plan changed BIG TIME about a month ago when my husband got a principal job in the town that we live in, where we no longer need to sell our house. But after spending the last 3 years thinking we were going to move, now we want to move. We've been looking, but haven't really found anything yet. But first we need to sell our house! Any takers?

Well I think the baby girl might FINALLY be asleep and I have to get ready for our FIELD TRIP tomorrow! 'Night everyone!

  1. You're not the only teacher who freaks out! Trust me. I freak out every time I look at the calendar. So much to do, so little time

  2. I could have added almost all of that to my Currently! We start MAP testing next week. I am a little panicky about getting everything done this year because we have had a lot of late starts and early outs for weather. Just had an early out today for snow in MAY!!

  3. Angela,
When I read your first paragraph (about sneaking out on your belly), I can so relate to that! I have 3 kiddos, and I remember doing that same exact thing! It WILL get better. I could use a pedi too. Have a great rest of the year.

  4. Sneak out? I'm still doing it! (Good to know I'm not the only one.) I Love personal days also. Today I took one. With my best friend. We went shopping. It was lovely. Good luck with 24 days. I have 16!

  5. Peanut and I have been up 2-3 times a night with asthma/ coughing for over a week...isn't being a mom glorious. :) I SUPER want MAP testing to be done. I would almost rather just bang them up out 3 days in a row rather than drag it on for 3 weeks. I am starting my freak out as well. I feel like I have taught them everything I needed to but there are still so many crafts and projects and last minute things to finish up.

  6. A trip to the zoo with your little one sounds so fun! I'm glad you had a day to take and make memories with him :)

Sorry about your nightly routine - praying for an end to this soon!

We are planning on house hunting this summer too - my hubby is graduating with his Masters and then we'll be moving to... ? who knows where! Scary, but exciting at the same time :)
