Currently: April!

I am so happy that it's now April! March is one of my least favorite months. Is it just me, or does March NEVER END???

Oh, and I couldn't agree more with Farley's take on April Fool's Day. THANK GOODNESS we don't have school today! I guess I'm just not a jokester...

MOVING ON... here's my Currently:
Listening:
We are definitely a Disney Junior family over here. Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse!!
Loving: YAY for baseball season! We are BIG Milwaukee Brewers, and I love how I don't have to think about what to watch on TV... just turn to FSN Wisconsin and I'm good to go. Opening Day is today!!!!! We are going to our friends' house this afternoon to celebrate. Some day I will go to the Opening Day Game.
Thinking:
I told myself I was going to get back on the working out/weight loss wagon over break. There is a spinning class that starts in an hour and I'm still in bed. Hmmm.....
Wanting:
The high temp for today is supposed to be 37 degrees today. BLAH!!! I'm on Spring Break this week. Where's my spring weather???
Needing:
Nothing :) My son has been obsessed with the new Muppets movie lately, and there's one song that just makes my heart smile every time: "I've got everything that I need, right in front of me!"
I look out at the hubs and our babies and I truly have everything I need with them.
Advice:
Don't compare yourself to others.
I was Amanda's Budding Blogger at Teaching Maddeness last week, I touched on this idea. Here's what I wrote:
"I think it's easy for new/small blogs to feel like "a little fish in a big sea," and try to keep up with some of the more well-known bloggers. My goal is to continue to be true to myself and share my ideas with anyone who wants to read them. Example: I'm not from the South. I don't use the word "y'all" in my everyday vocabulary. I have nothing against the word; I actually think it's pretty fun when southern bloggers write like how they speak! But again, I'm not from the South, and so you won't find me using "y'all" in my blog posts. I think we all have great ideas to share, no matter how many followers we have (or how much money we make on Teachers Pay Teachers), and there is no reason to pretend to be something you're not to try to impress others."

Alright, I'm going to climb off my soap box, get my bum out of bed, and get to the gym! Have a great day! GO BREWERS!!!! :)

  3. Great advice! When we had cable, we were a Nick jr/noggin family. I loved that there were no commercials other than their songs and stuff, but I think there were only 12 episodes of Little Bill andi got to see/hear them all every week!My KinderGarden

  4. I really like your advice to new bloggers. It is so easy to get caught up in the popularity contest! But you have to find what works for you. I hope you have fun at your Opening Day party!

  6. I definitely agree with you on the horrible weather. I think March always gets me because I think it is going to be warm, but then I remember March in Ohio isn't actually. Good advice to beginning bloggers. Easier said than done, but very true.

  7. Now I have the 'It's a Mickey Mouse club house. Come inside and have some fun' song in my head. Gotta love that song or our kids to let us torture us like that.

  8. " OH TOOOOOOODLES!" ( We are actually watching that right now.) We usually watch more Ooomie Zoomie ( during which time Peanut tells us who we are- She's Millie, I'm Geo, and Daddy is Bot) or some Barbie/Princess/lots of pink movie. :)

  9. Your the second blogger (aside from reading it directly from Teaching Maddness) that shared that bit of blogging advice. Guess I really needed to hear it, or I wouldn't have stumbled upon it so many times :)

    Hope your enjoying spring break!
